How to Get Polio Vaccination Card for Abroad Travel

The government of Pakistan has made it mandatory for all travelers, regardless of age, to have a polio vaccination card before boarding an international flight. This is in line with the World Health Organization's (WHO) recommendations to prevent the spread of polio.

How to Get Polio Vaccination Card in Pakistan:

To get a polio vaccination card to travel abroad, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit any government hospital or medical facility.

You can find a list of government hospitals and medical facilities that offer polio vaccination on the NIMS portal: https://nims.nadra.gov.pk/.

  1. Get the Polio Vaccine.

The polio vaccine is given orally, so you will need to open your mouth and let the drops fall onto your tongue.

  1. Visit the NIMS portal.

You can access the NIMS portal on this website: https://nims.nadra.gov.pk/

  1. Select the "Other Vaccination Polio, Yellow Fever" button.

This button is located in the "Vaccination" section of the portal.

  1. Fill out the required fields.

You will need to enter your CNIC number, ID card issue date, and vaccine type (Oral Polio Vaccine). You will also need to provide your contact information and payment details.

  1. Click on "Verify" and pay the required fee.

The fee for the polio vaccination card is Rs. 200.

  1. Download your polio vaccination card.

Once you have paid the fee, your polio vaccination card will be generated. You can download it instantly.

Validity:

Your polio vaccination card is valid for one year. If you are traveling abroad for more than one year, you will need to get a new polio vaccination card before your current one expires.
