Airlines Double Ticket Prices Due to Rising Fuel Costs
In an unprecedented surge, domestic airline ticket prices have skyrocketed, nearly doubling the costs of air travel. The primary cause behind this substantial increase is the soaring expense of jet fuel, leading to considerably higher one-way ticket fares for passengers.
Among the routes hit hardest by these changes are the ones connecting Karachi to Islamabad and Lahore, where travelers are witnessing an abrupt and significant spike in fares.
Just a short while ago, a one-way ticket from Karachi to Lahore or Islamabad would cost around Rs. 17,000. However, now the same ticket commands an astonishing price of approximately Rs. 35,000, leaving travelers concerned about the feasibility of their travel plans.
Adding to their apprehensions are reports of tickets initially priced at Rs. 35,000 being repriced at a staggering Rs. 70,000. This alarming surge in costs raises pressing questions about the affordability and accessibility of air travel for the average person.
