Adventure Club Pakistan to Host 13th Sport Climbing Competitions on World Tourism Day
The Adventure Club Pakistan (ACP) collaborated with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to host the 13th Sport Climbing Competitions at Ibex Club, Lake View Park in Islamabad on World’s Tourism Day (Wednesday).
In a press release, it was announced that all necessary preparations had been meticulously made to ensure the success of this sporting event, which seeks to foster adventure and promote outdoor activities for a healthier lifestyle in the country.
Over the years, the Adventure Club Pakistan has been dedicated to the advancement of climbing sports. They have conducted lectures, seminars, and rigorous training sessions for students, striving to expand the reach of climbing in Pakistan. Additionally, the club has tirelessly scouted and developed new climbing sites while collaborating with key organizations such as the Ministry of Tourism, PTDC, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism, Foreign Missions, and others to organize numerous competitions.
Notably, the club has already hosted 17 climbing competitions on International Women's Day and 12 climbing competitions on International Mountain Day, underscoring its commitment to the sport. Moreover, the Adventure Club Pakistan has produced exceptional climbers who have not only claimed national championships but have also proudly represented the nation in international events.
Established in 1994, the Adventure Club Pakistan boasts a rich history of diverse activities, with a particular focus on Wall and rock Climbing as its specialty.
