Zara Airways to Start Flights from Canada to Pakistan
Zara Airways, a Canadian-based private airline is all set to launch its direct flights from Toronto to three major cities of Pakistan, starting in August. The airline is set to offer convenient connectivity with three weekly flights connecting Toronto, Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore. Initially, Zara Airways will operate with two Boeing 777 aircraft, and based on demand, the fleet may expand in the future.
The founder of Zara Airways, Pakistani-Canadian entrepreneur Faqir Bawar Hussain Bhakari, has joined forces with Shaheen Airport Services for comprehensive ground services and staffing requirements. As the airline finalizes its preparations for takeoff, it is currently in the process of obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Canadian government.
During a press conference held in Karachi, Bhakari expressed his immense enthusiasm for the upcoming direct flights, highlighting the increased convenience and accessibility they will offer for travel between Canada and Pakistan. Syed Qali, the CEO of Zara Airways, mentioned that the flights will cater to a diverse range of passengers, including Pakistani residents in Canada and tourists visiting Pakistan.
Additionally, Zara Airways is actively engaged in discussions with Air Canada to explore potential codesharing agreements for select flights. This collaboration would provide passengers with more travel options and enhance their overall travel experience.
Ejaz Haroon, former managing director of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has joined Zara Airways as an advisor. Haroon put an emphasis on the airline's commitment to prioritizing direct flights, particularly for elderly passengers seeking to avoid connecting flights and long layovers at major airports. Zara Airways aims to provide a more comfortable travel experience, specifically catering to families and their elderly members flying from Canada to Pakistan.
