How to renew your Pakistani Passport when overseas?

To renew your Pakistani passport while overseas, you can follow these steps:

Visit Pakistan Embassy:

Visit the nearest Pakistani embassy or consulate in your country of residence.

Collect the Form:

Obtain the passport renewal form, which is also known as Form "C" from the embassy or consulate. You can also download the form from the embassy or consulate's website.

Fill out the Form:

Fill out the form carefully and accurately with all the required details, including your personal information, contact details, and passport details.

Attach Required Documents:

Gather all the necessary documents, such as your current passport, photocopies of your passport, your national identity card, and passport-sized photographs.

Submit the Form and Fee:

Submit the completed form and supporting documents to the embassy or consulate along with the applicable fees.

Collect your Passport from Embassy:

Wait for your application to be processed, which typically takes a few weeks. Once your new passport is ready, you will be notified, and you can collect it from the embassy or consulate.

Online Renewal of Pakistani Passport:

Overseas Pakistanis can also apply for online renewal of their Pakistani passport through the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) Pakistan. The online passport renewal process is called the "Online Passport Renewal System," or OPRS.

To apply for online passport renewal, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the OPRS website at https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk.
  2. Create an account on the OPRS website and provide your personal details, such as name, email address, and contact number.
  3. Fill out the online passport renewal form carefully and accurately with all the required details, including your personal information, contact details, and passport details.
  4. Upload all the necessary documents, such as your current passport, photocopies of your passport, your national identity card, and passport-sized photographs.
  5. Pay the application fee online using your credit card or other payment methods available on the website.
  6. Once you have submitted your application, you can track the status of your passport renewal application online.

After processing your application, the DGIP will issue a new passport and send it to the address provided during the application process. The online passport renewal process is convenient and saves time for overseas Pakistanis who cannot visit the Pakistani embassy or consulate in person.
