Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway to be Operational from August

Moving another step towards success, Murad Saeed, the Federal Minister of Communications, has announced that the Multan to Sukkur motorway (M-5) is near completion and would finally be operational in the next month of August. The work on the route started in 2016, and now it is more than 95% completed, which was initially estimated to cost about PKR. 294,352 million.

The north-south motorway will be about 392 KM long to connect the cities of Multan and Sukkur. The road will provide a safe, convenient, and efficient route of transport with six-lane, high-speed toll road.

The project of the beautifully paved road would consist of 54 bridges including one main bridge of River Sutlej along with 12 service areas, 10 rest areas, 10 flyovers, 426 underpasses.
